The Odeo Distress Flare LED is a next-generation Electronic Visual Distress Signal Device (eVDSD) and a safe, non-pyrotechnic alternative to traditional red hand-held flares, designed for marine, kayaking, diving, and outdoor use. Unlike conventional flares that burn for just 60 seconds, the Odeo illuminates for up to 8 hours at full brightness, with a detection range of up to 6 nautical miles. Powered by 4 x L91 Lithium batteries and waterproofed to IP68 (tested to 75 metres), it features a built-in SOS signal, infra-red LED for night vision rescue operations, and floats if dropped overboard. Its compact, lightweight design (150 g) makes it ideal for kayakers, sailors, mountaineers, and divers who need reliable, travel-safe emergency signalling.
